Beautiful Muskoka

Continuing from where I left in the last post. As we left Algonquin and headed to our hotel in Gravenhurst town, the route itself (ON-60 and ON-11) was very scenic. The hotel stay was comfortable and it was a clean place. Breakfast was neatly packed in a bag and staff handed it to us at the front desk. Gravenhurst seemed like a small town with lots of scenic places.  We decided to visit "Lions Look Out" first but as soon as we joined the main road, we saw a lake in front of us. It was like an underrated jewel but hard to miss. Other than the famous great lakes, Canada has been blessed with thousands of lakes and the ecosystem that these lakes support is vital to the sustainability of this region. Mystic Algonquin Park!!

As this was our first fall season in Canada, we decided to visit the famous "Algonquin Provincial Park". Everyone around us have been repeating the park's name since we landed in Canada. So, we hatched out a plan to see this mesmerizing place in its true fall colors.  There are so many activities to do in this park - Trails, Hikes, Canoeing etc. Being an avid nature lover, we picked up few interesting trails with moderate level of difficulty as we were hiking with kids. At times, rain played hide and seek with us but thankfully, it never sabotaged our plans and we managed to visit most of the spots. 1.
